Human Resource Development and Manufacturing Modernization: Keys to Improving Productivity and Safety
Along with production and supply solutions, TKV pays special attention to human resource development - a key factor for sustainable development. The Group requires member units to ensure adequate employment and stable income for employees. The specific goal for 2025 is to increase the average salary of the entire Group to over 18 million VND/person/month.
To attract and retain workers, TKV and its member units are actively implementing recruitment and vocational training programs, especially for underground and mine electromechanical workers. Many preferential policies on accommodation, travel, bonuses and other welfare regimes are applied. Notably, TKV has signed a collective labor agreement for the period 2025 - 2028, emphasizing the improvement of working conditions and the enhancement of the material and spiritual life of workers.
Occupational safety and hygiene continues to be a top priority. TKV directs units to enhance workers' responsibility in implementing safety procedures and technical measures through clear salary, reward and punishment policies.
Faced with challenges when many mines in key mining areas such as Quang Ninh and Thai Nguyen are having to go down to -300m, leading to high production costs and potential risks to labor safety, TKV is drastically promoting the application of science, technology and automation in production. Advanced solutions being deployed include automatic mine gas monitoring systems, putting robots into operation in some stages of underground production, using modern explosion-proof control cabinets and remote control systems for conveyor belts. These technologies not only help improve working conditions, reduce heavy labor but also contribute significantly to improving the safety level in underground mines.
In addition, TKV identifies international cooperation as one of the strategic directions to access advanced technology and improve the quality of human resources. In 2025, the Group will continue to focus on promoting cooperation with partners with the world's leading experience in mineral exploitation, typically Japan, in the field of human resource training and transfer of modern, safe and environmentally friendly mining technology.
With synchronous solutions, a favorable start in the first quarter and high determination of the entire system, along with promoting technology application and human resource development, TKV is firmly on the path to realizing the growth target of over 8% in 2025. These efforts not only contribute significantly to ensuring national energy security and promoting the country's socio-economic development, but also affirm the position of a key state-owned economic group, a pioneer in innovation and sustainable development.
